EpsilonIRC was founded in June of 2008. The original idea of EpsilonIRC was to create an independent chat for Epsilon Fleet, a Star Trek roleplay. However, the network took it a step further. While the fleet channels are still hosted, EpsilonIRC is availble for all kinds of chatters everywhere.
