| Ive run nefarious +x2 and 3 ....or srvx....vanilla ircu with gnuworld is better... Ive been told by more people than not that its a real ugly ircu hack....so I prefer charybdis and atheme over that any day..... currently using ircd-ratbox 3.0.4 with atheme and its ok...but not the same without charybdis. I wish I was a programmer so I could give my own reasons why nefarious is an ugly hack. I just know alot of them that say that, (except for those that use it of course) |

| Nef + X3 is the best ircd package available. Stable, Secure and constantly developed. |

I'm looking for someone who can Modify Nefarious + X3 to suit the needs of my network. I am willing to pay. I understand it will be expensive, especially for the complexity of my mods.
I am not asking for opinions or advice. I want what I want and whats best for my users. Whether or not you agree with my ideas or "think theres a better way", it comes down to, "hey, I have money, I know what I want, I'm looking for someone looking to do some work for some money." IE - I'm looking to hire an IRCd "architect".
I've chosen Nefarious and X3 because 1.) I've always liked p10, and 2.) I'm impressed with their offerings. I like the design of the systems and the integration. I prefer things this way. I just want a few extra mods for them.
Anyone interested is urged to drop me a line at:

Since the first question every coder is going to ask is "what exactly is it you want?" Perhaps you can save yourself and a few coders the time and share it upfront.
Secondly, you should be aware that "what you want" may not be possible with the constraints of the IRC protocol and thus wont get it regardless of how much money/desire you have and still be called "IRC" and you need to be willing to accept opinions and advice from your "architect" as they will likely know better than you.
I love working for a person that knows exactly what they want but equally despise a person that tells me how to do my job whom is clueless themselves.
In short, just because you want it, don't mean it'll happen and just because you have the money, doesn't mean you know best. |
