Anyone has the invisible module for Unreal? I know they no longer include it in the ircd, was just wondering if anyone has it.

Why anyone ever needed +I is a mystery to me to begin with. It takes all the fun out of doing -real- detective work, IMHO Wink

Also, the +I module was quite buggy, as well as pretty unethical.

As for knowing anyone who might have it, I'm afraid I don't. Have you searched around on Google?

I do hope they didn't make a module ressurecting this mode. Besides the fact its easily open to abuse, it also generated a lot of false bug reports. Simply put-services won't work well with a mode that makes someone invisible, it causes desynchs all over the place.

At least if its a module then people can tell who isn't running it. Thank god for that little bit of hope Smile

Maybe we need to have a mode that any user and bot/services agent can set that will hide them from being listed in /lusers, as well, make it show only IRC Ops on the server you connected to, not from the whole network.

If you were to add the invisibility.so of an old release to Unreal, it would not work. That module relied heavily on internal support from the IRCd. That support is gone and it will not be returning. I guess you'll just have to learn not to spy on your users...
