ok, here it is .. for some time now I've noticed that I can view a new topic that then gets marked as viewed as normal .. but then if I reply to one or more topics, all of the previous ones are marked as unread again. I eiher have to read them again or use the "mark as read" link.

Currently using FF3. I see it quite often but I can't pin point if it's just FF or any browser :/

Another one of those issues that I assumed someone else had already mentioned. Been an issue with FF3, Safari, and Chrome on Windows and Mac where applicable.

I experience this problem with IE6 and Chrome as well and thought it was just me, so I never mentioned it.

I tried upgrading to the new phpbb3, but it breaks a lot of stuff (unrelated to the forum). so I switched it back.

No. that's not it .. I've seen this long before phpbb3 was ever released and I still see it now on a daily basis .. every day and have for months.

Ditto - this has been going on for well over a year now, and I have pretty much resigned to accepting it as a fact of life on SearchIRC

Lucky you. I'm not the type of person that can simply accept it's broken even if that acceptance is easier then fixing it properly. :/

I'd fix it if I could - but seeing as my current residence lacks internet connectivity, and the fact that only Jason has the access to the underlying code, I'd have better luck winning this week's $13m powerball
