Hello, Alexj.
Are you thinking so strict about the temporary link? Maybe you could link premanently as my network will always run unrealircd? |

This is just a guess, but i suspect few people are prepared to let you test things out on thier networks just so you can then delink and join your network of choice / start your own.
I could be wrong there *shrugs* |

| I don't see many people ever agreeing to this ever. Especially since no one seems to be jumping at your offer. |

| I think most people who is running somewhat well-organized networks do not like all the hassle around linkage, and a temporary link just seems to be an improductive waste of time. |

When a server links onto my network, myself or one of my network admins needs to put aside about 1 hour of their time to run and analize the stats script on your server, help you through running the ircd installation script that we made. Depending on how that goes, we may need to spend up to another hour to trouble shoot if problems happen.
Then we need to go over policys with you, and finalize everything.
I sure as hell ain't going to put that type of effort in if your only going to be "testing" things on my network, and leaving after that. |

| With the proper operators, you dont really need that much time... especially if you appoint a Server (Co)Admin with access to the config/etc |
