|
|
Hello, im owner of A.C.M.E (Adult Collectors of Movie Entertainment), which is a community on Facebook with almost 200 active members who chat everyday. but on the group posts, so i did a simple search and found out, there is not alot of chat rooms for Action figure collectors, and you would be surprised how many of us their is, so im buying a domain, and installing a IRC flash based application on it, and going to post this in one of 4 groups in admin in on Facebook, to over 4,000 members, and a few more places, and i feel this could become popular. as iv posted about this and got pretty good reviews
So, to the point. I need a stable network that can provide me with some help with this, none with the power control issues, i use oper on some obscure networks back in the 90s, and early 2000's.
I, don't want oper, but if this takes off i would enjoy having it. but for now normal channel operator which i can register and do my self will be fine,
Requirements, I want chanserv or what ever variant you might have Q, X ETC,
I do not want a network with some kind of on join spam message that will show up when people go to my site for chat, cause they will see this as an off party provider and it will make it look cheap, people enjoy aesthetics!(Im not talking about MOTD's that stay in the status message)
No force channel joins, i will work this out in the flash applet, to join them to the right channel,
No Power Abusers, or people comming in the channel insulting people for collecting action figures or "toys"
Other than that all is well i think, I might also need a tad help with the flash java applet, but i can manage this on my own maybe, but two stars for effort if you are knowledgeable in this.
Thank You, |

| Try irc.indirectirc.com, stop by, talk to myself (MoSh) or danp, we have root access to all our servers, so we can run a flash policy on them, just stop by to talk about things. We run ShadowIRCd, and Atheme, but are soon switching to Plexus/Atheme. |

Hi WeAreACME,
KottNet is a medium-sized and stable network, if you still are looking for something. It features both a Flash web chat and a Javascript based one. You can embed any Flash chat widget to your web site easily, and offer those who don't have Flash Player the Javascript option. All servers have flashpolicy daemons up and running.

Although the networks has ChanServ, NickServ and a set of other services (MemoServ, OperServ, alis etc.), staff members cannot override modes and they are forced to stay out of channel politics. The IRCd we've chosen to use is Charybdis, which is known for all of its features that make it hard for IRC operators to abuse or "take over" channels and nicknames.
If you need help configuring a chat applet we have a script generator. If you would like something more than that, we can give you personal support through email, forums, and of course IRC.
The network itself supports both SSL and IPv6 on all servers. If you want to try it out, connect to irc.kottnet.net or visit www.kottnet.net.
Last but not least; all questions are welcome! |
