I think the app you're trying to name is IRCDefender, D3M0N |

Omega is pretty good if you compare it to IRC Defender and BOPM which it was originally designed to replace. Hell most things compared to Defender is better *runs* |

Well i hold my head in shame really cause my big thing is server security i got bopm all setup and connected to the server yet its not banning anything at all
And the other thing was while trying to kill the bopm process to restart it i killed the wrong one and killed services <- BLONDE

I've recently delved into the code of IRC Defender a bit and I was kind of awe struck at some of the 'given' in the code. It's better to make everything configurable than assume values. Also some of the anti-bot mechanisms didn't make logical sense. To paraphrase one of the people I spoke to this about: "It's a great idea, but I don't think they really knew how to pull it off."'
BOPM is pretty good, but I've noticed that a whole host of Unreal users still don't configure it beyond default. By default BOPM will then only scan ONE server in the network instead of all of them. They mention on their FAQ how to correct this though. |
