come on, how many monitors do you run for your IRC fix?
For me, that'd be four: Philips 200P (1600x1200@32), HP 2025 (1600x1200@32), Philips 190B (1280x1024@32) and Philips 170B (1280x1024@32) - all LCDs, and all get constant use when I'm chatting  |

Thats a bit insane
I just have the one monitor (20in 1600x900) and use my tv (32in hd) for everything else.  |

I just have the one monitor (20in 1600x900) and use my tv (32in hd) for everything else.  | Actually, I find the setup rather practical - in my job I use upwards of five applications at any given time (development environment, firefox with a dozen or so tabs open @ reference sites, warehouse inventory system (for some odd reason, I'm also the data monkey), logistics management system (which is what I code), outlook (so I can be spammed by my co-workers) etc etc etc)
As you can imagine, alt-tabbing between all that can be a bit of a bitch on a dual monitor setup  |
