May I have your assistance please?
Just recently I reactivated my network HailAtlantis and PingBad, I assume granted us our request and expediently reactivated our network per his reply on the forum on Mar 02, 2010 2:12am, inclusively we received an email from apache@dionysus.searchirc.com confirming our reactivation “This is an automated email sent to let you know that your IRC network has been reactivated on SearchIRC”.
Under the category Sexuality we find our network once again, but our listing indicates zero channels and users. I’ve not seen the crawler bot visit our irc server yet.
My question is have I not done something that I must additionally do? I tried to request network access, and our network is not listed on the list to request it. Inclusively I have noticed that our requested updated information has not been updated, yet the update form has all the update information on it correctly.
Frankly I just do not want to become a pain in the ass, since you guys do this gratis and in the spirit of keeping irc alive. If I must just simply wait just tell me please approximately how long. If I need to do something else please advice.
LOL I did RTFM but perhaps I am at a loss or do not understand.
Thanks in advance for your assistance and patience. |

I just went through the pending updates list and spotted your network in there, I notice you're trying to change the connect address to hailatlantis2.com even though the network is hailatlantis; a change of domain such as what you're trying to do is grounds for fresh network submission (scrawl is currently attempting to connect via irc.hailatlantis.com)
Jason may, however, grant a network rename (I don't have the access to accomplish this) - but that decision rests with him as to wether or not it's possible |

one of the reasons why a rename is difficult is that we've seen this situation multiple times:
Network "JasonChat" has two admins, they get in a fight and one creates a new network called "JasonChat2". He then submits a rename request (as a person who currently has access to edit JasonChat network info) and we rename it. The first admin notices and now complains. The guy still owns "JasonChat" domain and didn't want it rerouted to the new domain.
Additionally, if the network JasonChat dies, and someone creates a new JasonChat2, it's not really right for JasonChat2 to get the stats and old records that JasonChat used to have..
So long story short, it's a pain in the ass, a hassle, and causes us to get in the middle of disputes when we get involved in this stuff. So it's almost always no renaming. I make exception if you owned JasonChat.nl and decided to buy JasonChat.com (and no one else is using JasonChat.net/.org), so there isn't much reason to deny a rename to JasonChat from JasonChat.nl. |

Thank you Jason, and I understand fully your reasoning. I actually own the five following HailAtlantis domains:
hailatlantis com >> Hailatlantis com website, hailatlantis net Parked
hailatlantis2 com >> irc hailatlatis2 com irc servers webpage will redirect you to hailatlantis com webpage, hailatlantis2 net Parked
hailatlantis3 com >> webpage will redirect you to hailatlantis com webpage
if that helps any.
They are on BulkRegiser which I am an affiliate of theirs.
Hope that will enable you to rename if need to.
Again thanking you in advance for you assistance whatever your decision is!
