Hello, all.
DarkMyst is reaching out to the IRC community with interest in expanding our development team.
DarkMyst is an eleven year old IRC network, first started in December of 1998. We're a top 50, non-warez network that focuses on gaming, with an emphasis on role-playing. We're edging closer to a peak of 2,000 users in the evenings and have maintained a stable user base or grown over the past few years while many other networks have been struggling.
Most of the projects we have will be larger-scale projects and will require a lot of time and dedication. We are seeking someone that is more of a veteran with the IRC protocol and has experience. A good attitude, loyalty, and consistency are all very important things things that we'll be looking for. You'll also need to be comfortable working with foreign code, as our ircd (ithildin) is not the most mainstream at this time, and some of the tasks we have in mind will require an understanding of how ithildin works.
If you're interested, please email me directly at ryan@darkmyst.org. Please do tell me about yourself.
Thanks!
Ryan
Network Coordinator, DarkMyst IRC network

I must say this is one of the most original nets I've ever been on. Gamers would be foolish to not atleast check them out.
Good Luck with your search Ryan.

A recommendation coming from katsklaw means a lot. I'd probably check it out later. Not that I'm much of a programmer, but the idea of a customly written IRCd appeals to me and makes me curious. (That reminds me, I still have to upload icarus' latest archives before kats kills me... ) |

I have never been on DarkMyst, but it always stood out to me when looking over the gaming network list. I particularly like the style DarkMyst website, and I'm happy that they have custom services for their gamers. |

lol - I just connected and discovered I've already been there - even idled on there. I forgot that DarkMyst hosted the Romhacking community, but it's a pretty sweet thing to rediscover |

| Thank you all for your kind words. They are appreciated. We work very hard to make the network the best it can be for our users. |
