I have to post here before I can post anywhere else.

I'm goose.

I'm a firefighter with a bit of a tech nerd in me. I run a small-ish community that has no real direction or "mission goal", but we're fun, funny, and slaves to our users, as we want our server to be one you enjoying IRCing on. Come visit us at irc.honk-honk.org #goose if you like Very Happy

Heh, well, I originate from ChatSpike if you're familiar with that network. Was my first IRC network, and I've been on there four years running now. Friendliest rowdiest most dysfunctional family I've ever been a part of :p But I sure do love that network. They were kind enough to offer me a low level staff position, so I like to from time to time remind the network of 700 users via Global that "You've all just lost the game" xD

Yes, I'm quite familiar with the inspIRCd project. I'm personal friends with Brain, and one of the guys who idles in #inspircd to help people who are having trouble with the IRCd's. Although, I hope this doesn't offend you, I'm an Atheme guy :p

As of late, nothing IRC related offends me. People should use the software that performs the tasks that suits their network and not because User1 says it's cool, a friend wrote it or because 34564365 other nets use it.

I'm not an Anope contributor anymore and even when I was, i believe that Anope is not for everyone. Personally, when I have a network I don't use Anope either.

Anyway, good luck with your network and thank you for saying more than just "hi, come visit my new net called XYZNet ..." here on this forum.

"pre-loved" is a great way to define someone! Very Happy
