Here at Makaiwell are looking to start an Internet Radio Station alongside of our IRC network. [ Shoutcast ]
Due to the IRCops spending time on multiple orjects and the network itself, we are looking for a comitee to help run this station 24/7
What we need:
- Manager
- Event Coordinator
- Lots(LOTS) of djs around the world to stream radio 24/7
- Web-dev's
- Advertising Specialists
* Bold denotes available positions
What we DONT need (dont ask):
- Domain
- Server
- Noobs
What each role does:
- Manager
- Organizes the roles of each job in the functioning of the radio station, making everything flawless (ircops and myself cant manage it all)
- Event Coordinator
- Schedules, arranges for, and plans events such as alkshows, game shows, giveaways(ircops can provide the giveaway material)
- Often arranges special appearences and sponserships
- DJS
- Plays music
- Talks quite a bit
- Give the users some humor and stuff they like to hear
- Web-Dev's
- Creates a good looking site with easy to update info and stylish look complementing www.makaiwell.com
- Advertising Specialists
- DOSENT SPAM
- DOSENT SPAM
- uh, DOSENT SPAM
- Goes around community boards (such as this one) and makes friendly posts about the stattion
- Goes around finding great advertising opportunities to further benefit the station
Requirement for each role:
- Manager
- Must speak(type too) fluent English without use of a translator.
- Must speak in complete sentences, grammatically correct (Don't be all fancy all the time, nobody is perfect  )
- Great collaboration skills; teamleader
- Team player
- The will to learn, and observation of others
- Event Coordinator
- Must speak(type too) fluent English without use of a translator.
- Must schedule events properly and have enough time for everybody to get the event in good, clear order.
- Must be around during, after, and before the event planned
- Must be able to collaborate with others
- DJS
- Must have a CLEAR(not a 10$ mic) microphone
- Must speak fluent English
- Must be fun for yourself and listeners
- Must have at least 5-6 hours of music
- Must have DJ software (not a winamp plugin)
- Must be able to follow orders from Event Coordinator, Manager, and station owners
- TEAM PLAYER - Just because youre a DJ dosent mean you own everything
- Be fun; Nobody likes a boring DJ!
- Web-Dev
- Be fluent with PHP,HTML (or good with a CMS such as wordpress)
- Show prior work of web developing
- Be around for some part of the day to make edits whereas others cannot.
- Must have valid HTML code, as based on verifers
- Advertising Specialists
- Must have good image skills (or something similar)
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to focus attention to wherever your ad is
- Be able to follow orders from higher management.
- Be able to play with the team, focusing on whats needs to be focused on
- Make people happy!
I know this seems serious, but i want to keep the team nice and inteligente(spanish )
