This is a 3 month old thread btw, so I think by now he's found a net to idle on and he only wanted networks with LESS than 80 users on it. Also I don't think the channels are relevant either.

Seems more like a random advert for your network to me. So a word of advice would be that unwarranted advertising of your network here in the forums may result in you being flamed or get your posts deleted and eventually get your account deleted, but this last bit only happens after some serious abuse.

PingBad: lol @ Bang

Trixar_za: I actually don't want to find a net just to idle on, If so I would of happily went on Quakenet and sat in random channels lol.. I wanted to find a server that was a laugh with decent users..

Killer: I went on your network and after about an hour left because all it was, was you messing with commands and screwing around, evidently didn't know what you was doing sorry.

DirtyDeeds: I went on IRCu once or twice, but I haven't been able to connect recently?

Oh, dude, I wish you were where I was last night (IRC wise, that is...) - talk about a hoot breaking Trixar's nifty bot (IM<->IRC bridge)

While I didn't witness this, it may not be as clear cut as first glance - that said, things such as what you describe are usually best done on a testbed network where few eyes watch.

Pingbad it weren't so much testing it was just n00bishness dare I say it! But I do agree, all the testing should be done on a testnet.

The first and foremost reason I wouldn't go again is the founder/netadmin was asking how to do stuff in the channel. In my opinion net admins should learn how to use basic commands before they become netadmins.

Katsklaw once wrote about this, I recommend Killer checks what Katsklaw said:

6. Use a testnet! Do NOT test new modules or any other code on your production network! It makes it appear unstable and users will leave. Set -up another ircd/services, even at home will work to do all your testing!

PingBad, even if you were banned from the internet and forced to live the remainder of your life in a steel box, you'd still find a way to get online and break stuff Razz

Bertrum: As much as I agree with testnets, some things you just can't think to test. Sometimes you need crazy and abusive users like PingBad here to break things so you can fix it in future versions Razz

I have temporarily suspended the operation of IRCu because My grandpa had a heart attack a few weeks ago. I am planning on attempting to rebuild in 2010.

Thanks though.
