AUSPICES!!!! i like auspices services they have alot of services and they work with lots of ircds but they recommend that u use Unreal...
also if u want stats... Neostats they have statserv hostserv secureserv opsb loveserv logserv moraleserv and u can write your own modules for it...
also IMIRC provides IMSERV for useing AIM on IRC |

Hey, Rob.
I think perhaps it's the mainstream idea of using 'the same thing as everyone else'. I've been following Anope, and your coding previous to the name change of Epona.. I took it upon myself to gain some experience in C with your addition of HostServ to Epona. Since then, I have added LogServ, from Anope; ConnServ, an idea of NeoStats, and have gone as far as remove all multi-ircd support (only supporting UnrealIRCd), threading, and proxy detection, as well as other minor changes as time and experience will allow. All this mess
I'm no expert in C, or anything else for that matter, but I must say that the Anope team has come quite a long way, and will probably create some kind of future for IRC.
I must also congratulate the idea of MySQL databases.. This will definately lead the way of web integration.

Auspice is easily exploitable by ANY script kiddie, even a user for the first day on IRC can exploit auspices, its HORRIBLE!!! Never use it.. I recommend Anope IRC Services (www.anope.org) combined with the Unrealircd IRCd (www.unrealircd.com).
If you'd like to see my network running this combination and how well it works.. irc.oceanius.com #lobby |

Well the reason, was on my network i kept getting services unavailble and the services managed to close down its self. But i found out recently this was not anope doing this, it was something wrong in my conf file, but its been fixed.
Thanks for all the feedback though. |

I agree with the rest, anope is a choise as services. (for peoples who don't have much c skillz) it's a complete package and works like a charm. They give good support aswell |

Personally, i love the auspice services. It has AdminServ, MassServ and RootServ, unlike anope. If you like alot of options and features, Auspice is your friend. |

i dont realy like auspices, they put the services in so many nicks, why not just have operserv for all the admin stuff like anope
and one more thing, when i last used auspices wehn there was more than 100 users it crashes, does it still do that, No offence, thats what i had, just wondering if they still do that.
Cuz they are easy to set up and ect. so it can be an recomend if they are stable |
