| Anyone interested in helping revive the tesx ircd project should contact betrayed or darkwarrior on irc.sleisysoft.net. Lots of you folks are bound to know java. |

Hello,
I just thought I'd post here to notify you that www dot squarish dot net/tesx website is back up and running.
I probably wont' have time to update it much but the tesx project is once again available for download.
hopefully someone will be interested in using it, or even improving it!

David | I might give it a look. The idea of an Java driven IRCd sounds interesting |

tesx is a very interesting little ircx based ircd. However the last time I ran it it was a pretty dead project and things like DCC hadnt been added to it. I'm no java expert so I dont know how hard it would be to finish up....
As it is it takes maybe a whole 3 minutes to get up and running. There are built in channel services...no nickservices... /prop and /access commands ..its pretty slick. |

IRCd's dont have anything to do with DCC other then passing on the PRIVMSG/NOTICE sent from client to client to initialize it, after that it its a "Direct Client to Client" connection outside of IRC not even going through the IRCd. So basically any IRCd supports DCC as long as it supports minimal RFC 1459. |

Hi guys,
Just thought i'd give a quick post to say I'm now trying to get some time to take back up the development of tesx ircx server. Not full time or anything, but when i get the chance i'm digging round in the code making little improvements.
fixed a couple of minor bugs and now on dev version 1.318
got a test server running on irc.squarish.net
and i can often be found on irc.chatarea.org
www.squarish.net/tesx/
