SearchIRC once again proves itself as a great IRC tool. This is exactly the kind of dilemma that SearchIRC is designed to help prevent. |

I thought that word died along with the Ninja Turtles back in the early 90's. |

| Don't make fun of my vocabularly. Dudettes may be an old word..but heck...if girls want equal rights...then dude might as well be changed to dudettes to accomplish the equal thing. Besides, I never really thought about if it was an old word or not...just started using it....and it just felt right! |

| You can add a line to your whois using SWHOIS. Use a U:lined server (services) to perform that command on you. Something like /operserv raw swhois nick :is a cow |

Assuming your services allow raw, and that would be the right syntax for a raw even, and assuming your IRCd supports it, it should work . |

***** Swhois *****
-
Changes the WHOIS message of the Nickname.
Must be sent through an U:Lined server.
-
Syntax: SWHOIS <nick> :<message> (Sets the SWHOIS)
SWHOIS <nick> : (Resets the SWHOIS)
Example: SWHOIS SomeNick :is a lamer
-
So, it would be: /msg operserv swhois <nick> :<message>
The helpop command is very usefull (If you're running UnrealIRCd 3.2) if you don't know a syntax for a certain command: /helpop ? |

Though you have to use the raw command, else services will try to find that command inside its own source code, which it won't, it needs to be sent to the server, hence the /operserv raw . |

Ah, yes, well i was on the right track.
So for sure it would be: /msg operserv raw swhois <Nick> :<Message>
Btw, you should check that your services supports the RAW command and if it is enabled. Some services (like the later version of epona and anope) do not come with RAW enabled by default. Depends what decisions you made when they were compiled and if I'm right what the setting for raw is in the services.conf (if its epona or anope). I think theres a setting to enable raw but if I understand right its really a compile time option. |

For epona/anope raw can be enabled or disabled at run time with the services.conf file and the DisableRaw directive.
