Slight network name change

Our network changed its name from "Global Gamers Center" to "Global Gamers". I remember reading some where that said network name changes required submitting a new network request. I submitted the new name and the request was denied since GlobalGamersCenter is still indexed. Could the entry for GlobalGamersCenter be updated to GlobalGamers?

ban the indexers to let your current entry be deactivated, then unban them and resubmit your new name

do you own a domain that reflects the name change? e.g;

globalgamers.com?

If it's a minor change, we can rename it, but usually what we ask you do is to submit the new network. That way we list the old one for historical purposes, and it's info can mention that it renamed to the new name. That way anyone searching for the old or new, will be able to find it.

We went from globalgamerscenter.net to globalgamers.net. I updated the domain in the GlobalGamersCenter information. Feel free to take a peek. globalgamerscenter.net is still valid and the DNS records are identical to our new domain. In fact, we're still transitioning many things on the network to the new domain.

I don't care if we start over with a new listing or just update this one. Whatever works best for SearchIRC is what we will do.

I just issued a 2 hour G-line on *@data.searchirc.org and I will be resubmitting our network. Thanks!
