Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone out there has heard of Magick Knight scripts or Tanthalas? The reason I am asking is because the "alleged author" (suspect most of the script has been ripped  ) of Magick Knight scripts claims to:
a) Receive 60000 hits a month to his website http://www.magickalmastery.com. Thats a massive hit rate, especially for a free web host.
b) be an influential script writer. Therefore I am interested to see if he is known to any users of this forum?
I want to see if his claims have any basis, or are fraudulent as I suspect.
Neglecting the fact that an earlier version of his scripts were virii infected or that another version was sold (apparently it was worth $25 Australian) the script seems to fail consistently. Further, he uses guerilla tactics to peddle his product via spamming channels with constant tags of his scripts. Anyway any responses would be great
PS: Please be quite frank in your responses, if you think the scripts suck then just tell it how it is. |

| I don't know anything about the script, but 60,000 *hits* are not that much. Hits are not visitors or page views. A web page is made up of many smaller parts. Each time one of those parts - a picture, a graphic, etc - loads, its a "hit". On my websites, it takes around 1800 visitors to generate 60,000 hits. If you don't exclude them from your stats, a good number of visitors will be webcrawlers and spiders from search engines. |

Anyone can produce a statistic without proof. Its up to you to believe it or not. Thats why sites like SearchIRC are excellent-if someone for example asks me what my average usercount is and has been, I can point to sites like this and netsplit.de.
Course, people post statistics without proof all the time. Sounds like he's perfect to be in marketing |

Oh by the way, I get a million hits to my website per month.
Also, I have some ocean front property for sale in Arizona. I talk to Elvis once a week on my phone. I've been abducted by aliens, and I have an IQ of 350.
Anyone can claim anything. Coming up with the proof is the hard part. I'm not shocked to see an IRC script author making outlandish claims-they are the same ones that get on the internet and claim they are 5'10, 150, sculpted muscle, when they are actually 5'10 350
The internet-where there are more lies than truth out there, and people fall for the lies every day |

Not at all [DiMENSiON] as it confirms my suspicions. Also, it has been raging elsewhere during this time. |

| Magick Knight is a joke. The author is Kokaine from previous scripts I am pretty sure. He's done a lot of scripts but nothing that would warrant that kind of hit rate. Plus the bigpond monkeys all use it and promote it. nobody on that server knows any better it seems. they are the type of people that you say JUMP and they are saying How high while already in the air. You could sell them sweat by the bottle they are so gullible. |

d00d, take a closer look at the script and you'll find the actual 'author' of the script isn't 'kokaine'. I'm sure the person who used to go by that alias would be very offended to have his name put on such a shocking script. Also, you'll find that Telstra neither endorses the script nor does it even encourage it's use.

Oh, and please don't make assumptions about it's users.. I've been chatting there since 1999 and i know for a FACT that most of the network's users are probably smarter and more mature than a majority of the IRC world. |

Speaking of assumptions that shouldn't be made. |

Yep it's been widely known (well minus the idiots that use the script) that Magick Knight has contained trojans and malicious code. It originally started with a trojan packed in the exe itself then after that got detected he shifted to malicious script code and the occassional lamer virus. I find it hilarious that there is a website about it though, well done on finding that lol. |

| I find it hilarious that people just don't write their own scripts. It's not like its hard to learn. |
