| Hi all, firstly thanks for taking the time to read this. I've bene on IRC now for nearing 6 years and have built up expierence during this time. I have helped run such networks as Allsorts-IRC, Globaltechweb, Matrix-IRC and others. For a few months now i have not really being doing much. I am now posting on here to offer my services to anybody who may need them. I am just looking for a new project such as being an IRCOp or help run a well populated channel. I can also help with network issues and basic network problems. If anyone is starting a new project i would gladly like to help this may be starting up a network and looking for staff, or starting a new channel. If anyone is intrested if they could either post here or send me a PM, my nick on IRC is KrYptiX, i look forward to hearing from you and thanks for reading. |

my only advice would be to just pick a network, if you are talented I'm sure someone would notice.
Although the larger the network, the harder it is to get noticed.
Personally I can confess that I've gone to many many tiny or small networks and after talking about IRC in general with net admins I often get offered O:Lines within a few hours. It's not hard if you truely know what you are doing. |

Last time I know you were running a GNUWorld Net with CloneMod to fake 10,000 users...
And those ''networks'' like globaltechweb are warez theres not much experience in them besides seeding files and keeping bottlers off the network.. |

| I'm not sure if english is a first or second language for you, so I say this in the spirit of helping, not to humiliate or in any way put you down. Your spelling could use a little work as I counted 5 different mistakes in the post. When I see a network with staff who can't spell or use proper sentence form (yes, we all do shorthand type sentencing and ect on irc) it tends to be a major factor in deciding whether to stick around and further investigate a network, and talk to people, or quit and never return to that server. |

As you don't wish to humiliate, neither do I. But it's etc, not ect, it's short for etcetera (which most people don't know how to spell).
You are right, we all make mistakes and we are all human, so long as people that critique others based on common mistakes can still remember that we ARE human and not get too carried away with grammar/spelling nazi'ism we should be able to all get along ;P
Let's face it, some people are just poor spellers, that don't make them stupid, ignorant or unprofessional .. it only makes them poor spellers. We all have things that we have a tough time learning/doing anything from spelling to under water basket weaving to rocket science. However, judging a person solely by their weaknesses only shows them that you are narrowminded enough to be incapable of seeing anything else about them and frankly that's kinda sad.
Again, no harm no foul, I'm not judging or humiliating you because if I was I'd he a huge hypocrite as I myself am very bad at grammar and spelling. |

See, even I make mistakes. Thank you for the correction mojo. While I did say it ws a factor, it's definently not based soley on grammatical abilities. I guess I am a bit of a grammar nazi myself, as well as punctuation. While yes, it does look bad, you are correct that it dosen't mean they're unprofessional, or ignorant. There's alot of things I'm bad at, such as math. Spelling just happened to be one of my stronger subjects. Perhaps I could of been a little lighter on my critique. I don't mind people giving me critique, as long as it's constructive. That's what helps someone learn and grow. I know I have alot of room to grow still, I'm only human just like everyone else.
Silverfox: I'm sorry that I couldn't help you with what you seek, but I wish you luck on finding your niche, and growing and maturing as an ircop. |
