This month my dad's bank statement showed $10 deducted for "Reservation Rewards". Interestingly, the bank statement showed MY email address on the charge. So I emailed and asked what the charge was about. They replied:
"Our records show that on 04/03/2006 you or someone in your household completed an online transaction with FTD. After your transaction you were offered and accepted a membership in Reservation Rewards. Immediately next to the offer, the Offer Details were displayed, which included the agreement that we could bill the low monthly membership fee of $10.00 to the credit card that you used for your transaction with FTD, after the trial period expired on 5/2/2006."
What IS "reservation rewards"? We had no clue until we googled the term, and found a website that offers coupons for restaurants. Not something my bedridden old man would be interested in.
It is true dad ordered flowers from FTD for a relative's funeral, and used my email address for their verification. However, he did NOT click on any offers or do anything besides purchase flowers.
Since FTD is a very large and popular service, I thought I'd warn everyone here to use another company when the need arises -- one that doesn't automatically deduct $10 per month from your pocketbook. |

Cancel the credit card, and file a BBB complaint. Make sure never to buy from that flower store again. |

| FTD is one of the largest florist services in the world. I've ordered from them many times and was never disappointed in their product. Too bad about the little scam they have going... definitely won't use them again because of that. |
