Ok so anyways, I hate it when a server is ran by some person that goes off and retains there bitterness because of a bad past. Then, they go off ane believe every word said from a person that will try everything in their arsenol to try and make your online living hell. (You know who you people are) So anyways, these people need to really be put out of power. Because as long as they are there, they will always try to put someone in the victim spot.
Do not get me wrong there, a lot of the times, the victims will not be innocent as freakin' snow, but sometimes they will go off to try and give a person hell just to flex their power. Now, you can go off and delete this post if you wish, but then what will that make you? |

Problem here is that everyone is a jerk or whatever to someone else. No one on this planet is so loved that they don't appear to be a jerk or flaming at people from at least 1 persons point of view. Even Jesus was hated by many.
Secondly, who is supposed to cast judgement upon these inflamitory opers/admins? How is that person(s) any better?
Third, How exactlly do you propose to take a server away from it's admin? Call their provider and say he/she is grouchy?
Forth, don't judge people unless you are willing to be judged yourself. Who knows, maybe they just had a bad day.

It make them a moderator.
Using such tactics is doing nothing other than saying "If you remove my posts, your as wrong as the people I'm complaining about" which in a way isn't any different than saying "if you don't play my way, I'm taking my toys and going home". That tactic is very weak and immature.

No, it's simply comparing the moderator to a level that is so low, the moderator has to go off and delete a post because the post might be pointing out something that is wrong and the moderator has too big of an ego to see his mistake. Not naming any names here, but to go off and simply ban a person or close down there topics because they don't agree with the person views or they don't have the mental capacity to argue is childish.
And me pointing out this probably may make matters worse, but it's something that has to be pointed out. |

| Well, maybe not argue, but to go off and debate, discuss the matter. I mean, seriously if even this can not be done then what is the point of having a message board or chatroom, or even have the forms of communicating the idea or the observations one makes of another? |

Not any more childish than you making that statement in the first place, except this is their forum .. not yours. They have the right to moderate the forum .. you meerly have permission to post on it, which can be easily revoked. Which makes you a guest in their house.
If you want ot think that a moderator deleting your posts is childish, that certainly is your right and moderators have just as much right to delete your posts. There are hundreds of threads here that I personally would completely delete .. not because I disagree with them .. but because I think they tarnish SIRC's reputation and make it appear as if this forum was a safe haven for idiots. I have never complained about it, nor will I directly .. because it's not my place to dictate what stays and what goes, nor is it yours.
There has been many people that have simply vanished from this forum because of the stupid banter that is allowed to happen. So it's not just immaturity that warrants a thread deletion.

Forums are very useful, even when closely moderated to insure everyone sticks to the topic at hand.
If you want complete unmoderation, try UseNet or IRC server 127.0.0.1 .. otherwise you'll have to be mature and deal with what you cannot control without whining about it. |

This is way off topic however, I hate it when people correct other people, over and over and over, just to make it obvious that yes, this person did read a few extra pages about the subject, or yes maybe this person is better than this other person at whatever they're talking about.. in my eyes its more like, yes this person really is a dickweed kid who has nothing better to do than to push others down the hill without thinking before acting..
This is not pointed to anyone at this board, however this is what some people has to exerience in whatever direction they look, sadly enough..
Although, all i gotta say is, let people have their flaws, I will.. |
