#SearchIRC on irc.searchirc.com has been closed.
The reason is simple - very few people visit.
Closing #searchirc will mean a change in the way admins get access to edit their network information. I have updated our help section:
How do I update my network information?
1. You must have a SearchIRC account. If you don't have one already, sign up
2. Fill out the form on http://searchirc.com/contact to obtain access to modify the network information directly. We will need to know your nickname on your network, your network name, a server address that can be used to get on your network, and the times you are available. A SearchIRC admin will connect via a searchirc.com address.
3. We are there ONLY to verify that you are a person who should have access to update the network's info (e.g; an oper), and we will tag your account as having access to modify the network information. Our staff members NEVER ask for passwords or any special status or favors.
4. Once you have your account setup, click to find out how to use your MyNetwork account.
That's it. Hopefully, this will make things easier for both admins and our staff.

| The channel rarely had any visitors, and we don't have a reason for an IRC channel. Our website already has a contact us form, and I will be automating the admin access procedure when I get some free time. |

That's why we started it... but honestly, if it didn't happen by now, its not going to. If an idea doesn't work, toss it out and try something else. :) |
