If its public why remove it from the ircx.us site?
you are just to slick also hehe
[slight rant]
not trying to be patronising but..... with plexus being assosicated with a network that runs warez and allows ddos botnet's i wouldnt run plexus ircd anyway even though being based on a solid core... so i couldn't care less if its public or not, only downloaded it to see what it's like.[/slight rant]
there is a ratbox ssl.diff file available on wohmart.com, but i've not yet tried or tested it so i dont know if it still works on current ratbox ircd's or not. |

I guess if thats your criteria for choosing ircd software, you really shouldnt be using any ircd at all. All the major networks have warez and yes botnets. I guess you shoudlnt be using hybrid, ratbox, ircu, etc. Just because a network may have warez or have users who might run bots on them doesnt make their software bad. I am fairly certain that the networks who created many of the other ircds on the list above have much larger amounts of warez and botnets than rizon. Thats just my 2 cents.

Plexus was created obviously for rizon keeping in mind it suits their network needs.

Qnet doesnt have any that are publicly available do they, i am not saying qnet is free of them but they are either hidden or they get closed down soon enough. dalnet forced off the above and yes the same applies to them too, but chose to enforce policies against them so no, not all major networks have warez/botnets that are allowed.

Again read the above. Keeping in mind as i noticed you couldnt name ircd's like unreal, ulitmate as they simply arnt 1 network orientated ircd's, they were coded with the intentions of being used amongst different networks, plexus was coded with intentions of being used mainly on rizon, there's a difference which sadly is the home of warez and botnet's on irc.

I think you find that is not the case, Unreal being the most used ircd along with bahamut and such, hybrid/ratbox yes fair enough thats efnet's problem but thats "one" network, not loads.
IRCu being undernet allows mp3 sharing and stuff but after being crippled by ddos attacks a few years ago do you think they are insane enough to allow large botnets to operate on their network that rizon allows on theirs.... same goes for dalnet and efnet if you like. |
