We used really good scripts and had a set up on the largest 5 channels and the top and bottom channels on the /list command in RAW format... those are normally the channels to be spammed. But if any of the bots picked up spam they would report it to a channel (#nospam) and a bot there would manage bans acordingly...
If you want help, message me.. I've got some extra time on my hands now that Im done with the other AntiSpam project... |

Good script, but doesn't secureserv in neostats already join channels, detect spam, and ban accordingly?
You might want to check neostats out. |

I know there are modules for Anope (and possibly IRCServices too) that let you define 'trap' channels. (anyone joining them gets akilled).
These are most useful if you create them so bots try joining them first, spam, get akilled....
Another good anti-spam service is NeoStats' SecureServ, which monitors channels.
Lastly, you might want to consider setting all your users +R (or whatever mode you have that blocks pms from unregistered nicks) when they identify to nickserv. This blocks most spam, and allows you to easily identify spambots as they'll be amongst the only people on your net left that haven't id'ed to nickserv.
