To make a professional network, what would you guys recommend? UltimateIRCd or Bahamut?
I prefer bahamut a lot more than UltimateIRCd, I'll give the reasons tomorrow.. (too lazy)  |

| And to add on to this, only vote if you've used both. If you've only used bahamut it's not a fair vote because you don't know the advantages and/or disadvantages of UltimateIRCd. |

Hey!
I would say bahamut IRCD is better since it's used in major network like DALnet and well tested against botnet attacks and such.
If you are going to use Bahamut, make sure you try Sirv 3.0.x http://www.sirv.net it has all DALnet features and more beside it uses REAL MySQL Read/Write to store and read the dbs.
Sirv 3.0.7 is the latest version and shown stability.

I never asked what ircd and services you use but I did ask which ircd is more recommended, bahamut or ultimateircd. You don't have to like them but at least what would you recommend between the two, to make a professional network. |

lol, I never said bahamut is more professional. I honestly love ircu and P10 networks, they're actually my second choice of ircd. Although, I am more used to bahamut (been running it for a long time) and it's the reason I haven't switched.
But yes, big networks like Quakenet and undernet use ircu which is a good choice of ircd. |
