Patched kernel and updated various software on the machine that hosts SearchIRC. Had to shut it down for a few minutes tonight to make the changes active.
Site was down for less than 5 mins. |

hehe.
I'm sure you're not the only one wondering.
To save anyone time of port scanning my machine, here's nmap output:
| Code: | Starting nmap V. 3.00 ( www.insecure.org/nmap/ )
Warning: OS detection will be MUCH less reliable because we did not find at least 1 open and 1 closed TCP port
Interesting ports on (216.93.168.112):
(The 1599 ports scanned but not shown below are in state: filtered)
Port State Service
80/tcp open http
113/tcp open auth
No exact OS matches for host (test conditions non-ideal).
TCP/IP fingerprint:
SInfo(V=3.00%P=i386-portbld-freebsd4.8%D=5/27%Time=3ED39190%O=80%C=-1)
TSeq(Class=TR%TS=100HZ)
T1(Resp=Y%DF=Y%W=8000%ACK=S++%Flags=AS%Ops=MNWNNT)
T2(Resp=N)
T3(Resp=Y%DF=Y%W=8000%ACK=S++%Flags=AS%Ops=MNWNNT)
T4(Resp=Y%DF=N%W=0%ACK=O%Flags=R%Ops=)
T5(Resp=N)
T6(Resp=N)
T7(Resp=N)
PU(Resp=N)
Uptime 0.680 days (since Mon May 26 20:06:00 2003)
Nmap run completed -- 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 194 seconds |
Far as favorite OS.... I usually like to run linux. But freebsd, bsd/os and irix are also frequently used |
