channel time out

When do old channels time out ?
Our dns got mixed up with another network, since there are a lot of channels displayed that aren't ours.
I waited till they would reach a freshness factor of zero, but was flabbergasted when they did go below.

Is this a bug, or intentional ?

There is a master nightly process that updates many things on the site. Some parts of this process is actually run every 12 hours now (used to be once per night).

The channel purge still takes place at night, and any channel that has not been seen for 6 days 22 hours will get removed at this time.

If a channel exceeds the 7 day time, it will actually show negative freshness, which would be accurate. I don't consider the purge a high priority item, thus it's only done once a day.
