Sounds like a great idea. I've never seen 2 or more networks working together for the good of both. This might be a communisim that would work Smile.

Almost had a "sister network" set up with another network going, but then one of their IRCops went out of their way to make serious trouble and steal channels and users by telling them lies. Broke my admin's heart, broke my heart as I believed the owners of the other network to be my friends. It is nice in theory, and I still have hopes it can work for some networks, but until opers and admins grow up and act like adults, IRC will remain a collection of "I/we are better than than everyone else" ego trips.

Very, very sad. Sad

Networks getting together and splitting, thats life.

What is needed is somewhere to find out about the others, where they're at and what they're up to. I would like to draw your attention to our new IRC news service that offers that and more; ircScene which has been posting all the news on the IRC Scene (only from English and French sources at the moment - help with the German, Spanish and other foreign languages would be good), since early December 2005.

I think that we are the most comprehensive source for current news items
about the larger IRC Networks (>200 users) and IRC Software producers.

We offer RSS, ATOM and OPML newsfeeds.

and has oper abuse all over the place. Razz

As a net admin on his *net* and a owner of two of the IRCDS linked there, we don't have *oper* abuse period.

Opers may sumtimes muder/kill each other for fun, but we certainly do n ot randonly ban/kill users

Please don't confuse a grudge with reality, thanks
