I'm deleting all the network ads in this discussion. You can use your network page on SearchIRC or the network annoucements if you want to plug your network.
The constant posts to get users on a network is getting annoying. |

do you make a habit of censoring network names from posts jason? Its not like we're excessively mentioning the network address or anything, and people are posting because they like the channel, nothing more.
If you dont want an official searchirc channel that is no reason to try and stop our unofficial one from being successful.
I'm sure you have a rule somewhere that stops me posting network addresses, but i dont believe their is one that stops me or anyone else mentioning network names or expressing any opinions.
As i see it nobody in this thread has broken ANY rules, youre just looking for an excuse to shoot this attempt at building a community in the foot.
Have a nice day, and we'll succeed, with or without your support.
[EDIT]
Having READ THE THREAD completely again, it seems you have completely removed ALL NETWORK ADDRESSES AND NAMES FROM THE THREAD! Why don't you do this to others, and why is this one attempt to create a community being victimised in this way? If people arent even allowed to mention their network NAMES, then why don't you start deleteing and censoring other peoples threads as well? It is unfair and downright wrong to pick on one group like this because they do not hold your beliefs on what searchirc should be. The userbase is what makes your site what it is, and we will continue to support you, but sometimes you must take a long hard look at what users are suggesting and wonder if maybe there is some merit in what is being discussed. |

Clearly you're only upset because it's your network name that was removed from this thread.
Look over the posts, what you guys were doing was a blatent attempt to get users. You and your friends posted your network name over and over and over. As I said, there are forum areas for that.
You're not going to win this argument, so you may as well let it drop. |
