Hmm.. I think Arqnet's links are gone for 3 days. Before that, there were many users on the rooms. That's not a lie.

i was there, and i saw your 8000 guest nicks that were not real users. read the initial posts to this thread.

SearchIRC shows graphs of the networks so you can see their past user numbers. The last week Arqnet was listed shows:

Big, SHARP increases and drops. The last Monday our indexer was on the network, 13,200 "users" joined within minutes, then, at the stroke of midnight, 10,000 of them quit at the same rate of speed. Normal users do not exhibit such amazing coordination.

My theory on the ArqNet madness is that the "thunder.*" server is not a real ircd but a 'feeder', pulling in data from other IRC networks and mimicking it on ArqNet.

It could also just be a prerecorded show. Regardless, it's an obvious simulation.

You are right, that server mimics channels on other networks, its not hard to do. this network is fake. heh.
