You must be out of your mind. If you are wanting to link with a server that has more than 5000 users then they are going to require you to have root on the box. And to me it sounds like your renting this box or it is hosted at your house. If you do have root to this box then the network would most likely require you to have a fast connection, meaning faster than DSL/cable. If you are still with me on the specs wise then I suggest you use your brain and post your "good specs" with your reply. Next you should try to find this IRC network yourself. SearchIRC offers a great search through tons of IRC networks. Find the IRC network you like, visit their website and see how you go about submiting an IRC link.

Hi There,

I believe irc.arqnet.org is looking for possible links ....

There are 18 users and 9400 invisible on 9 servers
1 IRC Operator(s) online
67 channels formed

That is non peak time though, usually during peak times the user count is about 15-20,000 users. Contact #Help on irc.arqnet.org if you want information i guess someone there could help you...

1900 users... but only ONE ircop on NINE servers???

Surely this cannot be good for the users, how are they to be helped, who is to keep the servers running, you cant be awake 24/7.

Are most of these 9400 users bots?

Based on the fact you have only 67 channels im assuming you have 5 or 10 channels of 1000+ users, which leaves three possibilities, web gaming, warez, or anime.

Err. i just went to your network, apparently you have 10000 or so users on a server thunder.* all with nicks GuestXXXX and ce_XXXXX. But i go there to that exact server and type /lusers, it tells me you have 180 on it. None of these users EVER Speak, nor do they reply to CTCP. I can't do "/whois nick nick" to see any of their signon or idle times either or their away state, and i get no response from your ircops. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

Also, whats with your channel ##rdncyber## with the topic: ".advscan dcass 250 10 800 -b -r"?

Its also kind of weird that your servers address in the whois shows to be aspns.no-ip.org, which when resolved is a residential machine?

Guest32456 is zonaz@203.130.8.2100 * Guest32456
Guest32456 on #allnitecafe
Guest32456 using thunder.vic.au.arqnet.org [aspns.no-ip.org] KA BOOM!
Guest32456 End of /WHOIS list.

09:21 * Looking up aspns.no-ip.org
-
09:21 * Resolved aspns.no-ip.org to 203.103.111.166
-
09:21 * Looking up 203.103.111.166
-
09:21 * Resolved 203.103.111.166 to 166.cust24.nsw.dsl.ozemail.com.au

Also uhh, whats this ircd?

I think this whole environment is simulated and a fraud, i directly addressed several of the channel occupants and got no answer from any of them, people just continued chatting around me rambling on about whatever, youd think that in a channel of 8000 users someone might aknowledge your existence!

Further investigation... Connecting to thunder.* doesnt connect me *at all* it just reroutes me back to cyclone, and i cant /version the ircd. The entire THUNDER.* server is FAKE.

pwned is right.

I just visited the network. The user count is significantly lower, but all you say is true - people coming and going, a few chatting, and no one in the two major channels reacted to my messages or channel text.

ArqNet has 2 IRCops and many helpers. You may find them on #ASD IRC & Services help room.

If you really *did* have 9000 users, you'd struggle with 2 ircops.

Not to mention, you have nine servers, surely there should be at least one server admin?

This looks like a flat out LIE.

I say you have 18 users and the 9400 invisible dont exist.

(%) I have 32 clients and 1 servers
(%) Highest connection count: 264 (263 clients)

Thats what I see from you. You channels with 2 people.

Just say you are a new network looking for links. Lying about your userlevel is stupid. (Maybe not YOU, but u know whoever did)
