| Because if your only interested in a/s/l then your a very shallow and simple minded person who should be trying to find a person to cyber with on yahoo or something. Most people who ask that question immediately, could care less about meeting real interesting people, they just want someone to have some fun with for a while. That's why. Those who want more from "online" friendships get upset with that question in my opinion. Others might have different perspectives on it. |

asking asl most of the tiime has nothing to do with cybering.
People ask asl for various reasons.
I ask asl sometimes because I am just curious who I am talking to..curious of there age and gender thus perhaps I can see why they form thier opinion as such when we are talking.
I really dont see why that offends people
people need to not be so offended over things so much and understand a thing called intent and thus understanding can come into being.
well thats it for now

| There is a difference between asking after a long time of talking, and that being the very first thing you ask. If that makes any sense. Those who ask first thing are those who I avoid, those who ask after we have already talked a lot, usually tend to not be the perv freaks of the net, and instead just are truly curious about who they are talking to. |

Yeah it's mostly those pricks with nicknames such as "superhunk" or "loverboy" that come in a channel and immediatly start private messaging everybody with "hi, asl? wanna cyber?" that piss people off.
Apparently these are the same people who honk at women when driving by or whistle at them from a balcony. As if a women would kick off her pumps and start running after your car... "hey it's a good thing you honked, I had no idea how you felt about me!" |

| I used to love driving around in my jeep with the top off and just wearing a bikini to see how many guys would act a fool trying to get a look. It was so funny. Now that I'm older I know that's bad because it's dangerous, they pay more attention to the girl than the road. :-\ |
