Can't connect to a network.

I can't connect to aniverse. It says i have an invalid username and i'm banned. I have never been banned before. So what happened. Was it a ddos?

try changing your nick or ident. You might have the same details like someone who was banned.

As I hear, aniverse have been batteling ddosers the last months, more and more move from aniverse, so you might be caught in a crossfire.

(the x's in the c-XX-xxx-xxx.client.comcast.net is numbers. I replaced them with x's to prevent hackers from browsing this page to hack me)

It may have something to do the the symbols in your nickname if you're using any, remove them.

I have no symbols in the nickname. My nick name is wlfpck and the alternate is w1fpck

I'm using windows xp home and for some reason, mIRC keeps closing. I keep getting the window that says mIRC has closed unexpectedly and then I get the option to send an error report. Its very annoying just as annoying as not being able to connect to aniverse.

It says your username is banned, so change it. Use another one.

Hi,

Have you checked your ident ? In mIRC do the following to check it:

press alt + o
click on connect
click on identd
make sure it doesn't contain any weird characters.

You may also need to your email address you have set as it is sometimes sent as the ident. In mIRC:

press alt + o
click on connect
make sure the email address doesn't contain any weird characters.

You have to remember that username doesn't always refer to your nickname.
